HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

IT'S JUMP ROPE FOR HEART TIME!!!

Our school is participating in a very special community service program to raise funds for the American Heart Association.  We're joing in the fight against our nation's #1 and #3 killers-cardiovascular disease and stroke.

During the week of February 25th - February 29th, our school will hold Jump Rope for Heart event which will be held during our regularly scheduled gym classes.

The money we raise will help people in our community to learn how to avoid heart disease and stroke and live longer, healthier lives.  The school will also qualify for gift certificates for physical education equipment based on the amount we raise.  Students will receive thank-you based gifts on the amount they collect.  Last year we raised over 12,000.00 and received $500.00 in physical education equipment, thanks to everyone who participated in this event.

Family and friends can support your child's participation by making contributions.  If your child receives any cash donations, please convert those to a check prior to turning in the collection envelope.  All checks should be made payable to the American Heart Association.

To help your child raise money the fun and easy way, you can use an online fundraising tool found at  www.americanheart.org/jump and click the link "I Am Ready."  Send e-mails to family and friends asking for support. Please be sure to print your child's online donation report and include it inside the collection envelope.

There will be a school wide contest (k-2)!!!

-The top 3 students that raise the greatest TOTAL amount in donations

will receive a gift card to Toys R Us!!!
